Clinics and Services
Cervical Screening: Smear Tests
Women aged between 24 and 64 should have a cervical screening every 3 to 5 years to help prevent cervical cancer. The screening is quick and painless and can be done here in the practice.
If you are aged over 24 and have never had a smear test, or if it has been more than 3 to 5 years since your last screening, you should arrange an appointment with our Practice Nurse. You should not have the test while you are having a period or in the 4 days before or after your period as this can affect the sample.
Child Health
We offer developmental advice on child health and immunisations. Current immunisation schedules are available from reception on request. Consultations with children would normally require the parent to be in attendance. If however prior written authority and parental consent is provided it is acceptable for the consultation to take place in the presence of a named responsible adult.

Podiatry
The podiatrist is able to see registered patients over the age of 18 years suffering with a range of ailment including hard skin, plantar fasciitis, ulcers and foot pain.
Physiotherapy
The physiotherapy team can assist with all soft tissue injuries including sprains, strains or sports injuries, spinal related pain and arthritis. This service is available to registered patients over the age of 18 years.
Mental Health Practitioners
The Mental Health Practitioners are able to see registered patients over the age of 18 years who would benefit from assistance with a wide range of mental health issues.
Social Prescriber
The social prescribing team is able to assist with a variety of social and lifestyle needs. They are able to assist with matters such as debt, housing, employment, long-term conditions, and social isolation as well as assist those who may be caring for others.
Children's Health and Wellbeing Navigator
The team is able to support families with children up to the age of 18 years (or 24 years for those with SEND) where the child has a long-term health condition, Neurodevelopmental issue or Mental Health concern. They are able to maintain relationships and communication with key contacts such as schools and SENCO, community paediatrics, Early Help and more. They work to ensure families have access to appropriate services and have the support available should problems escalate or in crisis. They can also assist with transitioning individuals from childrens to adult services.
Minor Surgery
Minor surgery clinics are held regularly and patients are invited from a waiting list. When deemed necessary we can also refer patients to hospital for minor surgery procedures.
Maternity and Family Planning
The practice offers maternity, family planning and sexual health services, including preconception advice and coil fitting. Confidentiality remains our priority with regards to contraception, Chlamydia testing, termination and general advice on safer sex.
Specialist Clinics
In addition to all the above services, the doctors and/or practice nurse provide various other clinics as an additional service to our patients. Appointments for these clinics can be made through reception.The practice actively promotes care and will contact patients when their annual checks are due.
